Honeysuckle (Duck Shit)
鳳凰單叢鴨屎香
Grade: Double Premium; one of the ten famous varieties; over 100 years old ancient tea trees.
Water touching the dry leaves frees a unique and elegant floral fragrance. Honeysuckle transforms into delicate jasmine and orchid. The liquor is bright and vivid, a light golden color. Rich pectin from the leaves creates a full and creamy mouthfeel and throat-feel. Light fruitiness and delicate sweetness linger inside the mouth. It is praised as the most fragrant and long-lasting aroma among all varieties of phoenix single bush.
Why does it have such an unrefined name — “Duck Shit”? It is said that a tea farmer accidentally discovered this variety and worried that it would be stolen. The duck shit around the tea tree gave him the naming idea that he hoped would fool other farmers. Don’t be fooled by its name!
